Blue Planet is Named PSAI North-West Instructor Training Facility for the United States
Blue Planet located in Milwaukie, Oregon has been named as PSAI North-West Regional Instructor Training Facility for the United States. Blue Planet is owned and managed by Ron Brockelman, who has been diving since 1969.
Dive site photos were taken at one of Ron’s favorite training sites. The site is saltwater, is considered confined water, 40' deep. The site has a nice sand bottom at 20', with low to moderate currents and all of the necessary challenges a new diver needs, yet be safe. This favorite training site of Blue Planet is Whalen Island Park and located in Sandlake, OR. It is a two hour drive from Portland, OR
Blue Planet also uses a site in Hood Canal. It has much deeper water (an 800' dropoff) Blue Planet has complete support for Tech classes within 10 minutes of the site and direct beach access.
Blue Planet has an in ground pool for training. They also have a large modern classroom area. Both are open areas with lots of room to set-up equipment, training scenarios and conduct classes.
